An object is traveling in a straight line and moving at 3m/s. At the moment it passes closest by an observer 5m away from the line, what is its angular velocity as measured by this observer?

Object is traveling velocity v = 3 m/s

Distance from observer to straight line r = 5

Angular velocity ω = v/r

= 3 / 5

= 0.6 rad/s

Angular velocity is 0.60 rad/sec
