The equation of the line : y = -1 / 2 x + 3

The slope of the line : m = -1 / 2

The two lines are perpendicular  then the two slopes product  = -1

The perpendicular to the given line m = 2

And the passes through the point (7 , 1)

y = mx + c

y = 2x + c

Substitute the point (7, 1) in the above line

1 = 14 + c

c = -13

y = 2x - 13

The equation of the line : y = 2x - 13
