Multiplying by a Scalar, can anyone please help me?

The table below shows the average prices of some items available for sale in different departments at a retail store

             Women’s      Men’s        Children’s
T-shirt       $12            $10                $8 
Jeans         $24            $24               $18
Sweater     $28            $30               $22
a. Create a 3 × 3 matrix based on the data and then multiply the matrix by 0.75.
b. Write 1-2 sentences to explain what the values in the resulting matrix represent.

Observe the table:

Let the column 1 represent women's department, column 2 represents the men's department and column 3 represents the children's department.

Let the row 1 represents the average price of T-shirts in different departments, row 2 represent the average price of Jeans in different departments and row 3 represents the average price of Sweater in different departments.

The average prices of some items available for sale in different departments at a retail store is image.

Multiply the matrix by image.

From (a): The resulting matrix is image.

The matrix image represents three-fourth of the average prices of the items available for sale in different departments at a retail store.
