d/dx [x^6 + 7x^5 - 8x^2 + 22x]   =   d/dx (x^6) + d/dx (7x^5) - d/dx (8x^2) + d/dx (22x)

                                                  =   6x^(6 - 1) + 5[7x^(5-1)] -  2[8x^(2-1) + 22x^(1 - 1)

d/dx [x^6 + 7x^5 - 8x^2 + 22x]   =   6x^5 + 35x^4 - 16x + 22
