Given points are  (5, 3) and (4,7)

Let (x1, y1) = (5, 3 and (x2, y2) = (4,7)

Midpoint of the line (M) =   ( (x1 + x1)/2 , (y1 + y2)/2 )

Substitute  (x1, y1) = (5, 3 and (x2, y2) = (4,7)

M  =  [ (5 + 4)/2, (-3 + 7)/2 ]

M  =  (9/2, 4/2)

M  =  (4.5, 2)

Here x - coordinate is positive and y - coordinate positive

Hence, The mid point is lies in 1st Quadrant

Answer :

The mid point is lies in 1st Quadrant.
