Given hyperbola equation is (x - 7)^2 / 7^2 - (y + 3)^2 / 4^2 = 1 i.e, x^2/a^2 - y^2/b^2 = 1

We have 7^2 on the bottom of x term

=> a^2 = 7^2

=> a = 7

Therefore the distance from the center to each edge of the hyperbola is 7 each.

The transverse axis is horizontal because the hyperbola extends left and right as the y term is negative.

Therefore length of transverse axis = 2*7 = 14
