Slope intercept form of the line y = mx+b

Given line equation 3x+2y = 8

Apply subtraction property, subtract 3x from each side.

3x+2y-3x = 8-3x

2y = 8-3x

apply division property, divide by2 to each side.

2y/2 = 8-3x/2

y = 8/2-3x/2

y = 4-3x/2

y = (-3/2)x+4

Slope of the line is -3/2
