A baseball "diamond" is a square with a side length of 90 feet. How far is the throw from 3rd base to 1st base? (round your answer to one decimal place)

Farthest will be diagonal (d) can be found using Pythagorean Theorem:

d = √(length1 2 + length2 2 )

as it is a square the side lengths are equal = 90 ft

d = √(902 + 902)

d = √ (8100+ 8100)

d = 127.27 feet.
