-15 = 2x+13

Subtract 13 from each side.

-15-13 = 2x+13-13

-28 = 2x

Divide each side by 2

-28/2 =2x/2

-14 = x

Solution x = -14

Given that -15 = 2x + 13

-15 = 2x + 13

2x = -15 - 13

2x = -28

x = -28/2

x = -14
