An amusement park features giant statues of comic strip characters. If you multiply one character's height by 4 and add 1 foot, you will find the height of its statue. If the statue is 65 feet tall, how tall is the character?

Height of the statue = 65 feet

According to the given problem  it is equal to one charactor's height by 4 and add 1 foot.

Here h represents height of charactor

4h+1feet = 65feet

4h =65-1

Subtract 1 from to each side.

4h = 64

Divide to each side by

4h/4 = 64/4

h = 64/4

h = 16feet
