The inequalities are x+y < -3 and x+y < 5

Change the inequlities in to y = mx+c form.

first equation is y = -x-3 second equation is y = -x+5

draw the coordinate plane.

Graph the lines x+y = -3 and x+y = 5.

Graph of lines x+y = -3 and x+y = 5 is dashed and is not included in the graph of solution.

The graph of x+y = -3 shaded with fuchisa colour and the graph of x+y = 5 shaded with teal colour.

The soluton of the system is the set of orderd pairs in the graph of intersection part.this region is shaded light purple colour.
