Given point (3,-2)

Slope m1 = -1.

Line equation is y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y+2 = -1(x-3)

Subtract 2 from each side.

y+2-2 = -x+3-2

y = -x+1

Graph

Draw the coordinate plane.

plot the point (3,-2).

Draw the line neatly passes through the point and it obey the slope is -1.

Slope of the line is - 1 and the point is (3, - 2).

Slope (m) = - 1.

Point - slope form of a line : y - y₁ = m(x - x₁).

Substitute the values of m = - 1 and (x₁, y₁) = (3, - 2) in y - y₁ = m(x - x₁).

y - (- 2) = - 1(x - 3)

y + 2 = - x + 3

y = - x + 1.

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y - intercept.

slope = - 1 and y - intercept is 1.

y - intercept is 1, so the line crosses the y - axis at (0, 1)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = - 1/1

Start at point (0, 1), move 1 unit down and 1 unit right, then plot the point (1, 0).

Draw a line through these points.
