Given perimeter of a triangle is 36cm.

Let a,b,c are sides of triangle.

Perimeter of a triangle = a+b+c

If it is a right angle triangle, hypotenuse is a longest side.

we assume sides of triangles are 12cm,9cm,15cm.

Observe then perimeter is 36.

Length of the longest side is 15cm.

If it's not a right angled triangle we can't determine the longest side exact length without giving any other information about triangle.
