Solve the system of equations using elimination for the correct answer

Elimination method

2x-3y = 4

Multiple to each side by 2.

4x-6y = 8 -------> (1)

7x+6y = -1 --------> (2)

To eliminate the y value, add the equations (1)& (2).

4x-6y = 8

7x+6y = -1

11x = 7

Divide to each side by 11.

11x/11 = 7/11

x = 7/11

Substitute the x value in (2).

7*7/11+6y = -1

49/11+6y = -1

6y = -1-49/11

6y = -60/11

y = -60/11*6

y = -10/11
