Express 5 weeks in terms of days.

5 weeks = 5(7) days

             = 35 days.

Therefore,the  ratio of  5 weeks to 30 days is the same as the ratio of 35 days to 30 days.

That is, the ratio of 35 days to 30 days = 35 / 30 = 7 / 6.

And the proportions consist of two equal ratios.If we multiply 7 / 6 by 5 / 5 (which is the same things as 1 )we get

35 / 30. this means both ratios are equal.

So they can be put in a proportion which may look like this :  7 / 6 = 35 / 30.
