Elimination method

Given first equation 3x-2y = 6 ---> (1)

Second equation 5x = 5-25y

Divide to eachside by 5.

x = 1-5y

Add 5y to each side.

x+5y = 1

Multiple to each side by negitive 3.

-3x-15y = -3 ---> (2)

To eliminate the x value add the equations (1)&(2).

3x-2y = 6

-3x-15y = -3

___________

-17y = 3

y = -3/17

Substitute the y value in (1).

3x-2(-3/17) = 6

3x+6/17 = 6

3x = 6-6/17

3x = 96/17

x = 96/3*17

x = 32/17

Solution x = 32/17 and y = -3/17.
