Given equation is 2(7x+5-3x) + 4(2x-2) = 50.

Apply distributive property: a(b+c) = ab+ac.

2(7x+5-3x) + 4(2x-2) = 50

14x+10-6x + 4(2x-2) = 50

Apply distributive property: a(b-c) = ab-ac.

14x+10-6x +8x-8 = 50

16x+2 = 50

Subtract 2 from each side.

16x+2-2 = 50-2

16x = 48

Divide each side by 16.

16x/16 = 48/16

x = 48/16

x = 3

The solution is x = 3.
