Calculate the coordinate pair of the point divide AB with ratio 4:1 by using the formula :

[x, y] = [ (mx₂ + nx₁)/(m + n), (my₂ + ny₁)/(m + n) ].

The points are A = (x₁, y₁) = (-4, -3) and B = (x₂, y₂) = (7, 6) and the ratio , m : n = 4 : 1.

[x, y] = [ { (4(7) + 1(-4) } /(4 + 1), { (4(6) + 1(-3) }/(4 + 1) ]

[x, y] = [ (28 - 4)/5, (24 - 3)/5 ]

[x, y] = [ 24/5, 21/5 ].

The coordinate pair of the point is (24/5, 21/5).
