The vertices lie on the line y=0 which is horizontal. This means the major axis is the x-axis.

The horizontal ellipse equation is x2/a2 + y2/b2 = 1

Vertices : (± a, 0) = (± 25, 0)  ----->   a = 25.

Co-vertices : (0, ±b) = (0, ± 15)  ----->   b = 15.

Substitute a = 25 and b = 15 in the ellipse equation.

x2/(25)2 + y2/(15)2 = 1

x2/625 + y2/225 = 1

The option D is correct.
