The radical function y = √(x - 2)

We know that domain is all possible values of x.

We must note that we cannot have a negative value under the square root sign.

So set the expression under the square root sign greater than or equal to 0.

x - 2 ≥ 0

Solve for x.

x ≥ 2

Domain of the function {x ∈ R : x ≥ 2}.

Range set is the corresponding values of the function for different values of x.

The first domain value is 2, then y =√(x - 2) = √(2 - 2)= 0, so the range value starting with 0.

So, the range of the function is always greater than or equal to 0.

Range set is { y ∈ R : y ≥ 0}.
