Long Division

x^2 + 2x )   4x^4 + 3x^3 - x^2 - 2x + 1    (  4x^2 - 5x + 9

                   4x^4 + 8x^3

                       -  5x^3 - x^2

                       -  5x^3 - 10x^2

                       (+)         (+)

                  ---------------------------

                                   9x^2  -  2x

                                   9x^2 + 18x

                               (-)         (-)            

                           ---------------------------

                                           - 20x + 1

Answer :

Quotient : 4x^2 - 5x + 9

Remainder : - 20x + 1
