Slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

Write the each equation in slope-intercept form and find the slope.

a)8x+y=4

Slope-intercept form line equation is y = -8x + 4

slope = -8 and y-intercept = 4

b)-3x+2y=8

Slope-intercept form line equation is y = 3/2x + 4

slope = 3/2 and y-intercept = 4

c)y=4x-5

This is already in Slope-intercept form

slope = 4 and y-intercept = -5

d)y=-1/6x+2

This is already in Slope-intercept form

slope = -1/6 and y-intercept = 2
