Given equations are x-2x = 6

-3x-4x = -8

Here given variables are same,soi assume the second x = y

now the equations are x-2y = 6

-3x-4y = -8

The augment matrix is

image

Solution of given equations x = 4,y = -1

x = 4, x = -1

Check

First equation is x-2x = 6

= 4-2(-1)

= 4+2

= 6

Second equation is -3x-4x = -8

= -3(4)-4(-1)

= -12+4

= -8
