x+4y = -1 ---------> (1)

3x+12y = -3 ---------> (2)

Multiple to each side of equation (1) by 3.

3x+12y = -3 ----------> (3)

Observe the equations (2) and (3) are parallel

Since the parallel lines does not intersect

No solution for the system of equations.

The first equation x + 4 y = - 1

Second equation 3x + 12 y = - 3

Divide each side of second equation by 3.

x + 4y = - 1

Observe the two equations are the same.

Therefore the graph of the equations are the same,then there are an infinite number of solutions to the system.
