Given if a line representing a road.

Given points say(x1,y1) = (5,3) and (25,8) = (x2,y2)

Slope of the points m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

= (8-3)/(25-5)

= 5/20

= 1/4

We need equation of the line to graph the road.

line equation is y-y1 = m(x-x1)

y-3 = 1/4(x-5)

4y-12 = x-5

4y = x-5+12

4y = x+7

y = x/4+7/4

Graph of the y = x/4+7/4

Draw the coordinate plane.

Plot the points (5,3) and (25,8)

Connect the plotted points neatly.

Then formed straight line is indicating graph of road.

Observe the graph slope of the road = rise/run

m = change in y/change in x

= 5/20

= 1/4

Slope of the road = 1/4.
