Equation through the points (-3,1) and (5,-1) is y-y1 = m1(x-x1)

m1 = (-1-1)/5+3

m1 = -2/8

m1 = -1/4

y-1 = -1/4(x+3)

4y-4 = -x-3

4y = -x+1

y = -1/4x+1/4

Perpendicular line slope say m2 = 4

Perpendicular line equation is y-y1 = m2(x-x1)

y-4 = 4(x-3)

y-4 = 4x-12

y = 4x-12+4

y = 4x-8

Graph

Draw the coordinate plane.

Plot the points of equation y = -1/4x+1/4.

Connect the plotted points.

draw the the another line through (3,4).

Observe the graph the two linear lines are perpendicular.
