3x+226 = 7(x-6)

3x+226 = 7x-42

Subtract 7x,226 from each side.

3x-7x-226+226 = 7x-7x-42-226

-4x = -268

Divde to each side by negitive 4.

-4x/-4 = -268/-4

x = 67

Solution x = 67.
