list the prime factors of each number.

prime factors of 16a = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x a = 24 x a.

prime factors of 14ab = 2 x 7 x a x b = 21 x 71 x a x b.

LCM is the product of each factor the greatest number of times it occurs in any number.

LCM = 24 * 71 * a * b = 112ab.

Least common multiple of 16a and 14ab is 112ab.
