Slope - intercept form : y = mx + b.

Where slope = m and y - intercept = b.

The equation is 7x - 3y = 2.

Subtract 7x from each side.

7x - 3y - 7x = 2 - 7x

Group like terms.

- 3y = 2 - 7x

Divide each side by negative 3.

- 3y/- 3 = (2 - 7x)/- 3

Cancel common terms.

y = (7/3)x - (2/3).

Compare the abov eequation with Slope - intercept form : y = mx + b.

Slope(m ) = 7/3 and y - intercept(b ) = - 2/3.
