The equation is 7x + 6y - 42 = 0

Write the equation in slope-intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

 7x + 6y - 42 = 0

6y = 42 - 7x

y =  42/6 -7x/6

y = - 7x/6 + 7

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

slope = - 7/6 and y-intercept is 7.

y-intercept is 7, so the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 7)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = -7/6

Start at point (0, 7), move 7 units down and 6 units right, then plot the point (6, 0).

Draw a line through these points.

Graph :

graph for the equation - x - 2y = 8
