Slope intercept form y = mx+b

Here m is slope and b is y intercept.

Given line equation is 6x-3y = 18

Subtract 6x from each side.

6x-6x-3y = 18-6x

-3y = 18-6x

Divide each sides by negitive 3.

-3y/-3 = (18-6x)/-3

y = 18/-3-6x/-3

y = -6+2x

y = 2x-6

Compare the above equation to slope intercept form y = mx+b.

Slope is 2 and y intercept is -6.
