x-5y = 10

subtract  x from each side.

x-5y-x = 10-x

-5y = -x+10

Divide to each side by negitive 5.

-5y/-5 = (-x+10)/-5

y = (1/5)x-2

Compare it to slope intercept form y = mx+b.

slope is 1/5 and y intercept is -2.
