Given line equation x/3-y/4+1 = 0

Subtract 1 from each side.

x/3-y/4 = -1

Subtract x/3 from each side.

-y/4 = -x/3 -1

Multiple to each side by negitive 4.

y = 4x/3+4

Graph

From the graph we can observe the y intercept is 4.

m = raise/run = change in y/ change in x

m = 4/3.

The line equation is (1/3)x - (1/4)y + 1 = 0.

Write the equation in slope - intercept form y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y - intercept.

(1/4)y = (1/3)x + 1

y = (4/3)x + 4.

Compare the above equation with slope - intercept - form y = mx + b.

slope = 4/3 and y - intercept is 4.

y - intercept is 4, so, the line crosses the y - axis at (0, 4).

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = 4/3

Start at point (0, 4), move 4 units up and 3 units right, then plot the point (3, 8).

Draw the line through these points.
