The equation is 12x - 4y + 8 = 0.

Write the equation in slope - intercept - form : y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y - intercept.

12x - 4y = - 8

- 4y = - 8 - 12x

4y = 8 + 12x

y = (8/4) + (12/4)x

y = 2 + 3x

y = 3x + 2.

Compare the above equation with slope - intercept - form of the line equation y = mx + b.

Slope (m ) = 3 and y - intercept (b ) = 2.
