The equation is x  + 4y  = 3

Slope intercept form of a line = mx  + b.

Where m  = slope and b  = intercept of y .

x  + 4y  = 3

4y  = - x + 3

y  = - x/4 + 3/4

Compare it to slope intercept form of a line y  = mx + b .

Slope = -1/4 and intercept is 3/4.
