Given total surface area of a can is 188.4 inches

Radius of the can is 3 inches

Let the can is in cylinder shape

So surface area of cylinder is 2πr(h + r)

2πr(h + r) = 188.4

2π*3(h + 3) = 188.4

(h + 3) = 188.4 / 6π

h + 3 = 9.994

h =  9.994 - 3

h =  6.994

The height of the can is  6.994
