The curve equation y  = x 2 - 9

And the line equation = 7

Equate the y  forms.

x 2 - 9 = 7

x 2 =  9 + 7

x 2 = 16

x 2 = ± 4

So the limits are -4 and 4.

Formula for the area between curve and line image

In this case f (x ) = 7 and g (x ) = x 2 - 9.

= -4, b  = 4.
