√(x) - 2 = √(x-28)

Squaring both sides we get

[√(x) - 2]² = [√(x-28)]²

or, x - 2. √(x). 2 + 4 = x - 28

On both sides x cancels out

or, - 4√(x) = 28 + 4

or, √(x) = -(32)/4

Again squaring both sides

or, x = (-8)² =64

Hope it helped.
