Given expression

x2  - 9x + c

Rewrite the expression

(x)2 - 2(x)(9/2) +(9/2)2 - (9/2)2 + c

Mathematics formulas: (a - b)2 = a2 - 2ab + b2

(x - 9/2)2+ (c - 81/4)

Clearly to make the polynomial a perfect square (c - 81/4) should be zero.

So, c - 81/4 = 0

Add 81/4 to each side.

c = 81/4

Answer :

Therefore c = 81/4
