A)

6 x + 5

Substitute x = 2  in above expression

6 x + 5  =  6 (2) + 5

             =  12 + 5

6 x + 5  =  17

B)

12 x 2 + 5 x - 2

Substitute x = 1  in above expression

12 x 2 + 5 x - 2  =  12 (1) 2 + 5 (1) - 2
                         =  12 + 5 - 2
12 x 2 + 5 x - 2  =  15

C)

2( x + 7) + x

Substitute x = 0  in above expression

2( x + 7) + x  =  2( 0 + 7) + 0

                        =  2( 7)

2( x + 7) + x  = 14

D)

2 a + 3b - 7

Substitute a = 2 and b = 4  in above expression

2 a + 3b - 7  =  2 (2) + 3(4) - 7

                    =  4 + 12 - 7

2 a + 3b - 7  = 9

Answer :

A) 6 x + 5 for x = 2 is 17

B) 12 x 2 + 5 x - 2 for x = 1 is 15.

C) 2( x + 7) + x for x = 0 is 14

D) 2 a + 3b - 7 for a = 2 and b = 4  is 9.
