What is the ratio of the length of the input lever arm ti the length of the output lever arm was 6 to 5.

If the entire lever is 132 inches long, how long is the input lever arm?

The ration of the input lever to the output lever is 6 : 5

Let the input lever be 6x

And output lever be 5x

Given total length is 132 inches

Hence 

6x + 5x  =  132

11x  =  132

x  =  132/11

x  =  12

Input Lever  =  6x

                    =  6(12)

                    =  72m
