Divide the following polynomials using the long division model:

Long division model :

x2 + x + 1) 4x4 - 5x3 + 2x2 - x + 5 ( 4x2 - 9x + 7

                 4x4 + 4x3 + 4x2

            ( - )______________________

                       - 9x3 - 2x2 - x + 5

                        - 9x3 - 9x2 - 9x

                      ( - )___________________

                                7x2 + 8x + 5

                                7x2 + 7x + 7

                          ( - )___________________

                                        x - 2

Therefore, the remainder is (x - 2) and quotient is 4x2 - 9x + 7.
