Given that length( l ) = 7ft, breadth( b ) = 5ft , and hieght( h ) = 3ft

Lateral area of a prism(L .A) = (perimeter of the base) * (hieght)

The base is in the form of rectangle

L..A = (perimeter of rectangle) * (hieght)

        = 2(l + b) * h

        = 2(7 + 5) * 3

        = 2(12) * 3

         = 72 sq.ft

Surface area (S.A) = 2(lb) + 2(bh) + 2(hl)

                               = 2(7) (5) + 2(5) (3) + 2(3) (7)

                               = 70 + 30 + 42

                               = 142 sq.ft

Therefore the lateral area is 72sq.ft and surface area is 142sq.ft of a right prism
