Write an algebraic expression for each verbal expression. Then simplify, indicating the properties used. Twice the sum of s and t decreased by s.?

Algebraic expression ax^2+bxy+c for each verbal expression.

Sum of s and t = s+t

Twice it and decrease by s = 2(s+t)-s       (simplification)

                                       = 2s+2t-s

                                       =s+ 2t
