2)Given that -3 (5 - 2y)

-15 + 6y  (option c)

4)Given that 4x^2 + 2x -5

And also given that x = 3

4(3)^2 + 2(3) - 5

= 4 (9) + 6 - 5

= 36 + 6 - 5

= 37 (option b)

1) Grace worked from 7am to 6.30 pm  total 11.50 hours.

8 hours and 3.50 hours extra.

8*13 = $104

Now grace works 3 to 6.30 pm

3.5 hours over time at 1.5 times her pay.

3.5*13*1.5 = $68.25

Total ammount = 104 + 68.25 = $172.25

Option E is correct choice.

3) Cost x is equal to number of pens n times price per pen p.

x = np

100 pens cost x dollars.

$x = 100

For one dollar  (100)/x pens.

$ = 100/x

Now we need to calculate n when x is 50 cents.

We know that  $ = 100 cents

50 cents=  $0.5

$ = 100/x

Divide each side by 2.

$0.5 = 50/x

Option D is correct choice.
