given that

TU=3x+4

UV=5x-2

there fore TV=TU+UV

           TV=3x+4+5x-2                             (TU=3x+4,UV=5x-2)

           TV=3x+5x+4-2

           TV=8x+2

there fore TU=3x+4,UV=5x-2,TV=8x+2
