-5x^2-6x+9

Apply derivative with respect of x

= d/dx(-5x^2)-d/dx(6x)+d/dx(9)

Recall the formula

d/dx(x^n) = nx^n-1

d/dx(x) = 1

d/dx(constant) =0

= -5*2x-6*1+0

= -10x-6

d/dx(-5x^2-6x+9) = -10x-6
