In arthmetic sequence a n = a+(n-1)d

a is first term and d is common difference.

Given a = 5/2 and d = -1/2

10th term is a+9d = 5/2+9*-1/2

= 5/2-9/2

= -4/2

= -2

nth term is 5/2+(n-1)-1/2 = 5/2-n/2+1/2

= (5-n+1)/2

= (6-n)/2

= 3-n/2
