Elimination method

Given equation 3x+2y = 0

Multiple to each side by negitive 3.

-9x-6y = 0 -----------> (1)

And 9x-24 = 2y

Add 24 and negitive 2y  to each side .

9x-24+24-2y = 2y-2y+24

9x-2y = 24 --------> (2)

To eliminae the x value add theequations (1) and (2).

-9x-6y = 0

9x-2y = 24

________

-8y = 24

Divide to each side by negitive 8.

-8y/-8 = 24/-8

y = -3

Substitue the y value in (1).

-9x-6*-3 = 0

-9x+18 = 0

 Subtract 18 to each side.

-9x-18+18 = 0-18

-9x = -18

x = -18/-9

x = 2

Solution x = 2, y = -3.
