Given y = 2x^2+6x-1

Compare it standard parabola equation is y = ax^2+bx+c

a = 2, b = 6, c = -1

Axis of symmetry is x = -b/2a

x = -6/2*2 = -6/4

Axis of symmetry is x = -3/2

substitute x value in equation then we get y.

y = 2(-3/2)^2+6(-3/2)-1

y = 9/2-9-1

y = -11/2

Vertex of given parabola is (-3/2,-11/2).
